Women's Results
BRYN ATHYN, PA - The University of Valley Forge Women's Cross Country team continues to get better and better as the season goes on. In Saturday's Bryn Athyn Invitational they finished 4th out of 5 teams, but tuned in some very impressive performances.
Junior
Molly Rupert finished the 6K event with a season-best time of 27:56.4, just 50 seconds off pace of her 6K personal record, which she ran two years ago.
Gina Campagnini also turned in a strong run, finishing at 26:09.9. It was her second-fastest time of the season so far. Fellow freshman
Megan Knorr carried the Patriots with a new 6K record, 25:16.2 It extended the record she had already broken earlier this season. All three runners finished in the top 15 overall.
Dashara Carter and
Evgenia Levante also ran in their very first 6K events. Each runner kept a pace that was faster than they were at the beginning of the season, showing signs of strength after returning from some nagging injuries.
The Patriots will now have a two-week break before returning to action at the Gettysburg Invitational on October 17th.
