LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC San Diego women's water polo team earned five honors as the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the recipients of its annual All-Academic awards.
Senior Andie Nishimi and junior Courtney Miller were awarded ACWPC's Outstanding-level marks for maintaining a cumulative GPA between 3.71 and 4.00. Nishimi and Miller are both cognitive science majors at Warren College, with Nishimi having earned her degree last month.
Sophomore Lauren Boyer and freshman Kayla Fedler were honored at the Superior level for holding a cumulative GPA between 3.41 and 3.70. Boyer, a student at Sixth College, is a literature/writing major, while Fedler is pursuing her degree in political science at Roosevelt College.
Junior Emma Sasson received Excellent-level marks for recording a cumulative GPA between 3.20 and 3.40. Sasson is a psychology major at Muir.
Miller was also named to the Capital One Academic All-America® Division II At-Large Third Team, and Nishimi earned Capital One Academic All-District At-Large First Team for the NCAA Division II District 8 in May.
