ONEONTA, NY - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) has announced its 2015 Women's All-Academic Awards. Among the honorees were eight Hartwick women's water polo players.

Over 300 student-athletes from around the nation were recognized this season. The program honors varsity student-athletes who have achieved grade point averages of 3.2 or higher and competed during the 2015 women's season. Athletes are recognized on three levels: 3.71 to 4.0 (Outstanding), 3.41 to 3.7 (Superior), and 3.2 to 3.4 (Excellent).

Senior center
Lara Dendy Young (Cape Town, South Africa) earned the distinction of "Superior" for the third consecutive season for 'Wick. Junior driver
Brittany Tait (Kairong, Australia) achieved the same category for the second straight year. Senior driver
Guia Carlini (Camogli, Italy) and freshman driver
Natalie May (Huntington Beach, CA) also earned the distinction for the first time in their respective careers.

Four other Hawks landed in the "Excellent" category. Junior goalkeeper
Michaela Davies (Cronulla, Australia) received accolades for the third consecutive season. Sophomore driver
Blanca Anton Cuesta (Madrid, Spain), freshman driver
Lauren Brennan (Canberra, Australia), and freshman goalkeeper
Josette Santos (Huntington Beach, CA) also earned "Excellent" honors.    Â

Hartwick's final team grade-point average was 3.31 this season. The Hawks ranked 12

Hartwick water polo finished the 2015 season with a record of 20-19. It marks the 14
th straight season the Hawks have won at least 20 games.Â
