The NCAA released updated statistical rankings for Division III women's volleyball on Tuesday afternoon with Dominican University's
Christina Wilson (Homer Glen, Ill.) leading the country in assists per set. The Stars' junior setter, claiming two of the last four Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Player of the Week honors, has upped her assists per set average to 11.31, edging Calvin College's Jennay Lodewyk who stands at 11.30 assists per set.
Surrounded by a plethora of offensive talent, Wilson has led the Stars to become one of the top offenses in the country. Currently as a team, Dominican ranks tenth nationally at 13.63 kills per set, less than one kill per set behind the national leaders, Hope College (14.35).
On Wednesday, Wilson and the Stars ride a seven-match win streak into a matchup with the Benedictine University Eagles in Lisle, Ill. The Stars, 19-8 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the NACC, look to reach the 20-win plateau for the sixth straight season and can secure at least a share of the NACC regular season title with one win in their final two NACC regular season matches remaining.
