Riverdale, N.Y. – Freshman forward Megan DeRosa (Cornwall, N.Y.) scored her first career hat trick and was one of five different goal scorers for the College of Mount Saint Vincent Women's Soccer team who posted a 7-0 non-conference win over Yeshiva on Wednesday night.
 
DeRosa scored the first three Mount Saint Vincent goals on the night, tallying twice in the first half and once in the first six minutes coming out of halftime. She scored just over two minutes apart in the opening stanza and completed the hat trick when she cleaned up a rebound off her initial shot at the 50:35 mark of the match.
 
After leading 2-0 at halftime, Mount Saint Vincent erupted for five goals in the second stanza to ease to its second straight win. Courtney LaTorre (Denville, N.J.) and Joyce Pagliuca (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) each scored their second goal of the season for the Dolphins and Alicia Forgione (Lawrenceville, N.J.) added her eighth goal of the season. Freshman Elizabeth Martin (Lawrenceville, N.J.) closed out the scoring in the game with her first career goal in the 81st minute.
 
The Dolphins closed out the game with nine different players with a point with DeRosa leading the way with seven points after adding an assist on the Forgione goal. With her scoring output on Wednesday, DeRosa leads the team with 23 points and is tied with Forgione for the team lead in goals with eight.
 
Martin made the start in goal for the Dolphins and earned the win without having to make a save in 45 minutes of work. Kerilyn O'Keeffe (Bronx, N.Y.) came on to work the second half as the team picked up its sixth shutout of the season. Elana Kook closed a solid night in goal for Yeshiva with 14 saves.
 
Mount Saint Vincent dominated play in the game and finished with a 27-0 advantage in shots and an 11-0 edge in corner kicks.
 
Wednesday's win improves Mount Saint Vincent to 7-2 on the season. The Dolphins will return to Skyline Conference play on Saturday when it welcomes St. Joseph's-L.I. to Riverdale. Kick-off at the Athletic Field at Marillac is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
